Wellness, made to be experienced.
COYAMA creates thoughtfully designed experiences, retreats and professional training across sound, movement and stillness.
Everything we offer is shaped by the same intention: to create an environment in which people feel welcomed, properly considered and free to experience the moment in their own way.
Turning experience into
something shared
Following a period of profound personal loss, we stepped away from the life we knew and spent 18 months travelling. We were looking for freedom, direction and the opportunity to reconsider how we wanted to live and work together. The experience made us more conscious of how we spent our time, the places we found ourselves in and how much a thoughtfully created experience could affect the way a moment felt.
When we returned to the UK, The Scottish Borders gave us somewhere to pause and begin again. We opened The Parlour Room Wellness, a small studio where we could create the kind of experiences we had come to value: welcoming, down to earth and carefully considered. What began in that one room gradually developed beyond it, first through distinctive sound experiences and Floating Sound Baths, and now through COYAMA’s growing programme of events, professional training and retreats.
The principles behind everything we do.
Care
Care is present in the complete experience, from the information provided before someone books to the way they are welcomed, supported and guided through the final moments.
It means considering the environment, the people within it and the details that determine how an experience actually feels.
Craft
Good experiences do not happen by accident.
We prepare carefully, pay attention to the details and continually refine what we deliver through real-world practice. Whether it is a one-hour event, a residential retreat or a professional training course, it should feel complete and considered.
Openness
COYAMA is not built around a particular belief system, identity or idea of what a "wellness person" should be.
We provide clear guidance and meaningful choices, allowing people to take part without pressure, performance or the expectation that they must experience something in a particular way.
