Floating Sound Bath The Ultimate Way to Unwind. Join us for this one of a kind experience and feel the tension leave your body as you relax and reset while you float on the gentle ripples of the pool.

What is a Floating Sound Bath

A floating sound bath is a deeply calming experience where you rest on a supportive float in warm water while being immersed in soothing sound. These sessions combine the gentle sway of the water with therapeutic tones from crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls,  gong and other sound instruments creating a full-body experience that promotes deep relaxation.

Unlike traditional sound baths on land, the water amplifies the vibrations — making it feel like the sound moves through you, not just around you. It’s a chance to truly let go, quiet the mind, and allow yourself to fully unwind.

No previous experience is needed — just bring an open mind and a willingness to relax.

Benefits of Sound

Synergy of Sound, Water, and Stillness

Sound is one of the most ancient and intuitive forms of healing. When experienced while floating—cradled by warm water and surrounded by resonant frequencies—its power is amplified. Floating sound baths allow vibrations to move more deeply through the body, calming the mind and activating the body’s natural ability to heal, release, and reset.

Enhanced Awareness

As you float in stillness, your senses tune inward. This heightened state of awareness can deepen meditation, awaken intuition, and foster a profound connection to self, nature, and the subtle rhythms of the universe.

Natures Resonance

Water is a powerful conductor of sound, allowing healing vibrations to travel deeper into the body. Enhancing the effects of sound instruments like singing bowls and gongs, creating a rich, full-body experience.

Physical & Emotional Healing

Floating soundbaths can help release muscular tension, improve circulation, and promote detoxification. On a deeper level, the vibrations support emotional release and nervous system regulation, helping you feel lighter.

Total Relaxation

The gentle movement and sounds of water instantly soothe the nervous system. This environment encourages a meditative state, helping you unwind fully and reconnect with a sense of inner peace making you feel relaxed.

Are floating sound baths right for me?

Floating Sound Bath sessions are open to most adults aged 18 and over. However, due to the nature of the experience—being in a pool environment on floating surfaces—and to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort, some individuals may not be suitable to attend at this time.

Following our safety and risk assessment protocols, the following participants may not be eligible:

  • Individuals under the age of 18

  • Those with limited mobility who are unable to get up and down independently, even with minimal assistance

  • Individuals who are pregnant (we advise against participation for safety reasons)

  • Anyone who cannot swim or feels unsafe or uncomfortable in a pool environment

  • Individuals with serious medical conditions that pose a risk in water-based settings

  • Anyone under the influence of alcohol, recreational drugs, or misusing prescription medication in a way that may impair safety or awareness

  • Individuals with unmanaged mental health conditions (e.g., untreated schizophrenia, PTSD, bipolar disorder, or severe behavioural disturbances) that may compromise their ability to safely participate

  • Those with metal implants, recent surgeries, or major injuries that could be affected by the physical requirements of the session or water environment

  • Individuals with sound sensitivity, auditory processing difficulties, or neurological conditions aggravated by sound

  • Anyone with uncontrolled epilepsy or a recent history of seizures that could be triggered by sound or lighting setting at the events

  • Those with any additional needs or health considerations that would make it unsafe or impractical to participate within the current staffing and setup

While we are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming experience, floating Sound Baths require a degree of physical balance, mobility, and self-awareness due to the use of buoyant equipment and the aquatic setting. These natural limitations, combined with the availability of trained staff and lifeguards, mean we may not be able to accommodate everyone safely.

If you’re unsure whether this experience is right for you, we warmly encourage you to get in touch. We’re happy to discuss individual circumstances and explore what may be possible on a case-by-case basis.

Can I come if I can’t swim?

Although there will be a life guard. Unfortunately, for safety reasons, and comfort for all we cannot accommodate non-swimmers. All attendees must be confident and safe in a pool environment, even though you won’t be swimming during the session.

What if I have a medical condition

All participants are required to complete a health declaration waiver prior to the session. If your condition meets our safety criteria, you’ll be welcome to join. Please refer to the ‘Are Floating Sound baths right for me section’ or Please contact us in advance and prior to purchase to discuss if you’re unsure.

How do I get on and off the floating beds?

Each participant is guided onto the floats from the poolside with assistance from staff members. You’ll be shown how to position yourself safely and comfortably. The process is simple, dry (you won’t be submerged), and designed to be as smooth and supportive as possible.

Are the floating beds safe?

Each bed is thoroughly inspected before and during each session. We have trained staff monitoring the pool at all times, both in and out of the water, as well as a qualified lifeguard on duty. While no equipment can ever be 100% fault-free, we act swiftly and professionally if any issue arises.

Where are sessions held?

We currently run sessions across the Scottish Borders, including venues in:

  • Peebles

  • Eyemouth

  • Kelso

  • Selkirk

  • Hawick

  • Galashiels

More locations may be added in future

What happens during a session?

Each session begins with a short mindfulness practice to help you settle into the space and become present. You’ll then be guided onto your float, where you’ll remain comfortably supported throughout the experience.

Once everyone is settled, the sound journey begins, featuring a combination of crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, and gong. These instruments are played in a carefully structured sequence designed to create deep relaxation, encourage stillness, and promote inner calm.

Loo breaks

We encourage attendess to use the facilities before the start of the sessions which run around 50mins.

However if you need to leave the float during the session—for the toilet or any other reason—just raise your hand and our pool attendant will help you exit safely.

What to wear?

You may wear comfortable clothing or swimwear.

Please do not bring any electronic devices or anything you prefer not to get wet onto the float in case of accidents.

What should i bring?

A bottle of water, regular comfortable clothes. A change of clothes and towel is also advisable.

What if I snore or fall asleep during the session?

While it’s common for participants to feel deeply relaxed, our team monitors everyone closely throughout the session for safety. If you fall asleep and we observe any signs that indicate discomfort, shallow breathing, or potential risk, a staff member will gently wake you to ensure your wellbeing.

Light snoring is not an issue, but if it becomes disruptive or appears to signal deeper sleep that may compromise your awareness in the pool setting, we will intervene as needed. Your safety is our priority.

Can I book for a group?

Absolutely. We welcome group bookings and also offer private events. Please get in touch with us via email to discuss group size and preferred *location.

*Private or group booking are based on pool availabilty.
